This progressive spring has been developed on a goal of finishing the exhilarating driving of Civic hatchback without impairing comfort.

For winding and mini circuit sports drives, it is important to improve your cornering performance. Increasing the spring rate can easily improve the cornering performance, but lose comfort.

We focused on the shape of the spring as a method of enhancing the spring rate without impairing comfort, and adopted a barrel spring.

Unlike a common direct winding spring, a barrel -shaped spring can have multiple rates due to the difference in the diameter of the spring (the size of the roll).

Taking advantage of the characteristics of this shape, we have realized a low rate around 1G, which controls the ride, and a suspension that can use a high rate in the high -speed corner.

The spring rate was tested on various stages, such as winding and mini circuits, and was set to the front 3.4kgf/mm and the rear 3.4kgf/mm (normal rate F/2.7 R/2.8).
